Fingersteps to Premier Sonario at the Closing the Gap Conference!

6/15/05: Sonario, the first wireless music performance solution designed specifically for people with physical and mental disabilities will be premiered at the Closing the Gap conference October 20-22, 2005 at the Sheraton Hotel, Bloomington, Minnesota.   This ground breaking technology extends the world of music to people who previously have had no true outlet of music expression.

“It has taken time and experimentation.  But we have figured out how to engage people of all abilities.  This has tremendous implications for both people with disabilities and the music industry.  It opens up an exciting new world.”  says Dan Moffatt CEO and Music Director.

Sonario uses wireless PDAs (personal digital assistant) and Tablet PCs as MIDI (musical instrument digital interface) controllers.  These controllers communicate with a separate host application that assists the disabled musician in their performance.  The host application supports up to 16 wireless devices and can assist each musician based upon their individual performance abilities.  This design enables people of all skill levels to perform together as a single ensemble.
